I recently got this very nice email from a woman who ordered my book:
Mr. O'Bryan,
Thank you for your informative book. You tell it like it is. Unfortunately, I've had to learn most of this on my own in the past 23 months. I wish I had your book earlier.
I'm in the process of settling with the insurance company over my minimally displaced comminuted fracture. Since negotiating with insurance adjusters is done on an uneven playing field, I can see why people feel the need to hire lawyers.
My insurance adjuster sent a check for my medical expenses made out to me and my HMO. My understanding, which I think you supported, is that my HMO cannot recover this under subrogation from a Virginia resident. I am waiting to hear back from the HMO for confirmation.
You are certainly organized and helpful. I tried to consult with a local personal injury law firm on an hourly basis, to have a look at my demand letter and to help with determining the value of my claim. They told me that they weren't interested in teaching lay people how to be lawyers.
Again, thank you for providing the substantive, informative material, and for reaching out to (lost) people such as myself.
Sincerely,
Bobbie P.It is wonderful to know that my book
Accident Injury Book: Hidden Inside Secrets Big Insurance Companies Don't Want You to Know About Your Injury Claim is helping people learn how to deal with insurance companies. I believe that not every personal injury case needs to be handled by a lawyer and that is why I wrote my book and started this website. If you haven't read my book yet, then you should get your own copy right now.
